50 Cent’s first born son, Marquise Jackson, is planning to carve out a lane of his own within the music industry. He recently dropped a track, “Different,” to which a few listeners believe to be a slight aimed at his father. Some concluded that his relationship with the G-Unit boss is far from reaching a point of resolve, and in an interview with Okayplayer, Marquise is still unclear on how the strain can be remedied.
On the topic of the song’s subject matter, the 19-year-old stressed that the phrase “diss track” does not coincide with the lyrics. “It’s not a diss track. If you listen to the song, I clearly state, ‘I lost my pops, but he’s still alive!’ He is present as in he is living, but he isn’t present in my day-to-day life!” he said. “That is something that my life consists of [and] that’s not a diss. It’s a fact!”
When asked if he thinks a positive outcome is on the horizon for him and Fifty, he simply responds with, “I’m not sure.”
