Prime Minister expresses disappointment over controversial music video

Posted by Admin on June 2, 2021 at 9:15 AM

The ten artistes in the controversial Trojan Riddim Mix music video that many condemn as promoting gun violence came under heavy fire yesterday, with Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley leading the charge.

The video, featuring Lil Rick, Peter Ram, Mole, Screwface, Mallis, Lead Pipe, Brutal Crankstar, Chiief Diin, SK and Quan De Artist, has received widespread condemnation from all sides of the political divide, the church, fellow artistes and members of the public.

Two of the artistes – Peter Ram and Mole – yesterday offered public apologies for their part in the music video.

Both these artistes had been involved in the Ministry of Education’s We’re Stronger Together campaign last year that encouraged children to wear their masks properly and follow COVID-19 guidelines.
